For my presentation, I have chosen to interpret the work of Tom Hunter. He is a London-based British artist, and much of his works consist of photos from his local environment of Hackney. Through his photos, he reconstructs stories, memories, and myths. He focuses on the people living in his area and the environment around them. He captures life in Hackney and reimagines old photographs to depict it. The images I have chosen to review show a range of his work, from recreations of old work from other photographers to scenes in his local town.

Tom Hunter's work helped show me how other people live and how moving a photo can be. He allowed me to see a new area of photography altogether and how photographs can capture a story in just one frame. He has taught me a new perception of photographs and showed me that photos can tell a story, something I had never experienced before.
